Well, we're always learning but our formal school time is in full force now. With a new baby and 2 that are actually acountable to the district things are different. None of them truly love to sit and learn. We do have our fun though! One of our fun things is our Little House on the Prarie study. We are doing it as a group and it is really fun. We're reading through the books along with a curriculum that brings it all to reality. We're learning geography- where the Ingalls really lived, history- what the pioneer days were really like, Science- how things worked and how they survived... You name it! We even have art and cooking involved! We made a corncob doll and a clove apple. Grandma bought Kailey the first 2 seasons of Little House on DVD so we're having movie nights too! Ok I am really late in posting lots so i'll just give in to the fun pix and recent highlights of family bliss. I don't want things to appear always peachy though! Life is hard and who wants to post kids crying and fighting! I think there is too much happy, happy crap out there and then we think something is wrong with us when it appears that everyone is so much happier than ourselves. Just my thoughts...........I doubt if anyone will read this anyways.

Vacation 2009

I misplaced my camera cord to download photos! Found it and here we go! We went camping at First Landing State Park in VA Beach. Three nights there, then to the Days Inn in Williamsburg for a homeschool history tour of Jamestown and Yorktown. We threw in a day of fun at Busch Gardens and then spent 2 nights in NC with friends. We were gone 9 days! We spent several hours in the van. Kailey got car sick! Good thing we had buckets from the beach! LOL! Elianna only cried about one hour off and on but was pleasant the rest of the time! We had a ton of fun!
