Who says 5 kids is a lot? It's not really much different. Elianna is such a good baby! She has been pretty much sleeping through the night other than nursing every 3 hours. Her cry is not high pitched like Ben and Kailey's were. It is awful but i don't remember Nathan and Morgan's. I do remember that Morgan was a difficult infant and didn't sleep through the night for a long time. I obviously didn't know what I was doing! Nathan was tough too but not like Morgan. I must have learned something with each child. Kailey was pretty easy but needed a lot of rocking. Ben was easy as pie! Hopefully Elianna will complete this pattern. Today Elianna is 7 days old! I think it is her first growth spurt. She has slept a lot!

Elianna Rose

On Friday, May 15, 2009 we welcomed Elianna Rose into the Barkey Bunch! She weighed a suprising 8 lb. 7 oz. and was 21 inches long! The labor and delivery went very well and we are recovering great at home. I only have 5 or less pounds to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight! Enjoy the pictures!

We just had to get out of the house today! School is pretty much over for the year and we're just waiting for our baby girl! I had contractions 15 minutes apart for most of the day and night yesterday that didn't amount to anything! I have a week and a half until my due date but..... tomorrow I have an appointment and if I am dilated at all they want to schedule an induction..... We'll see...

Ben's 4th Birthday Party!

Ben doesn't actually turn 4 until May 20th but with the baby due May 18th we thought it was best to celebrate and make Ben feel special ahead of time. We celebrated at McDonalds with his preschool friends and their siblings. About 20 kids in all, we packed the party room. We usually have parties at home. I am really happy with our choice not to this time.
